Consider a qualified charitable distribution (QCD) from an IRA: If you, or someone you know, are at least 70 ½ or older and have an Individual Retirement Account (IRA), you can donate as much as $100,000 each year as a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) to charity. A QCD is a tax-advantage option that can be used when taking your annual Required Minimum Distribution (RMDs).
