Little Bluestem (7 cubic inches)
Little Bluestem (Schizachyrium scoparium) is a terrific ornamental grass with blue-green stems during spring and summer that turn to a reddish color during the fall. This grass provides a fun pop of color throughout the winter while other grasses remain more drab. Its seeds are eaten by native birds.
