Livingston-based nonprofit Montana Freshwater Partners was awarded nearly $300,000 from the Bureau of Reclamation this month to help enhance wetland and stream health in Park County.
The $299,533 grant, to be distributed over three years, will go toward the Park Co. Water Initiative, a collaborative effort between Montana Freshwater Partners and other entities—including Trout Unlimited, the Upper Yellowstone Watershed Group, Park County Environmental Council, the Greater Yellowstone Coalition, Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks, the US Forest Service, and residents and landowners in the area.
