Wood’s Rose (40 Cubic Inch)
Wood’s Rose (Rosa woodsii), otherwise known as wild rose or mountain rose, is a bushy shrub that is native to the entire state of Montana. It forms in thickets that produce beautiful pink to lavender colored flowers. The dense root systems of Wood’s Rose make them an excellent tool for erosion control and the species has been used to revegetate disturbance along roads and streambanks. The hips of Wood’s Rose can also be used to make tea, jellies, jams, and more.
