It’s often said that people learn in different ways, some through listening, others through seeing and doing. Auditory learners absorb information by hearing things explained, while visual learners need to see a concept in action to truly understand it.

It’s estimated that about 65% of the human population are visual learners, with some studies suggesting that over 80% of learning involves visual processing in some form.

This helps explain why the world of conservation and ecological restoration can feel inaccessible to those not immersed in it. Despite a mounting interest in protecting our coveted natural resources, many of the practices and principles that guide ecological restoration efforts remain hidden beneath layers of technical jargon, scientific reports, or work happening quietly behind the scenes.
